The Sketchbook Project is an evolving library of handmade artists’ books, contributed by more than 22,000 creative individuals from across the globe.
After receiving my sketchbook I had to decide on a theme. I posted on facebook asking for my friends to respond with an animal, a color and the time that they responded. I also asked my brother George and one of his friends Samantha Johns to help me in creating a format for my project. They were asked to provide me each with a list of 12 verbs and 60 phrases.
I then began going through the responses by using the times that people posted. The hour would correlate with a verb from one of the lists and the minutes would determine which phrase would be used. I would alternate between George and Sam's list, one being the hour and one the minutes and vice versa. The results are reflected in my illustrations below.
